Integration

The bug bear of most "systems" is they work well only within the manufacturer's sphere of products. As soon as one "system" needs to communicate with another "system", things can get ugly. This is a common issue with Cloud computing, and there are numerous Cloud based products to facilitate "system" to "system" integration. However, these Cloud solutions rarely scale down to the plant floor. In practical terms, most plant floor systems require some form of custom integration between the different systems in use by the company. In particular, there is a basic need to integrate the corporate ERP system with the Plant Operations database. The ERP to Plant integration typically handles the transfer of logistic information to the plant, updating ERP load orders with the scale tickets from unloads / shipments, and the reconciliation between book and physical inventory.

Driftwood Technology uses the Microsoft Visual Studio VB/C# and Microsoft SQL Server products to develop integration solutions.

Driftwood Technology develops the reports and tools needed to move data between different systems. In particular, leveraging existing products already installed such as Excel, SSRS, Biztalk, SharePoint, SQL Server to provide robust and flexible integration solutions.
